Worcester Bravehearts Announce 2017 Season Schedule

Thursday, December 22, 2016

The Worcester Bravehearts announced their full 56 game schedule for the 2017 season. The Bravehearts will play 28 home games, 18 of which will take place on Thursdays through Sundays.

“The schedule release is always a time when people start thinking about Bravehearts baseball. I’m glad it is out before Christmas, maybe fans will purchase ticket packages for the holiday. Also at the start of next year we begin planning promotions and celebrity appearances and everything else so I’m glad we have the schedule out before Christmas,” said General Manager Dave Peterson.

The Bravehearts will begin the season with a home stand starting on Saturday, June 3 against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs followed by a game against the Pittsfield Suns on June 4.

A key game comes on Friday, June 23 when the Bravehearts will host the Nashua Silver Knights in a rematch of last year’s Futures League Championship. The Silver Knights beat the Bravehearts.

Worcester will wrap up the regular season on the road when they visit Pittsfield on August 6. Their final regular season home game will be on Saturday, August 5 when they host the Bristol Blues.

Braveheart’s Look to Continue Success

Entering their fourth season in the Futures League, the Bravehearts have won two FCBL Championships (2014 and 2015) and went to the championship series last year. They were also named FCBL organization of the year in 2014 and in 2016.

“Our success has been driven by players who want to play hard for the Bravehearts at the end of the season. Other players might be tired, want to go home and see their families, but these players play hard for us and it is because we treat them great, feed them well, set them up with great host families, I mean they are the superstars here, “ Peterson said.
