World Cup 2010: the Semi-Finals

Okay so now that it is Tuesday and all the 4th of July festivities are over and done with, it's time to get back to the good ol’ grind. Well, not entirely, with the World Cup Semi-Finals already coming at you.
If you already used up your sick days and best excuses, hopefully you can still find a way to keep yourself updated with the games. It really doesn’t matter how you do it; just make sure you don’t miss them.
After making their way past the fan favorite, Brazil, the Netherlands look like quite the strong bunch. With this win, they have shown that they can truly defend. This could spell trouble for Uruguay because elite scorer Luis Suarez and Jorge Fucile are suspended for this game. It’s going to be tough to replace them.
History has this one going for Uruguay as it 3 – 1 in the series between the two. But let’s be real about this though, the Dutch are the only team in the 2010 World Cup to be undefeated. They are battle tested and feeling great after beating Brazil.
It seems as if that Uruguay’s only true hope lies in the hands (or should I say feet) of Diego Forlan. The Netherlands will be attacking on all cylinders while Uruguay will be packing it in and looking to counter.
Germany, after their performance against England and Argentina, looks virtually unstoppable. However, David Villa, with his tournament-leading five goals, and the rest of the Spain company will pack a punch as well. Spain did beat Germany in 2008 for the Euro Crown. Will it provide any edge at all? Xavi could be on their brains.
Spain will try to establish its possession game as usual, which is their clear strength. However, Germany has already shown that this type of style does not give them too much trouble. The Germans can and will strike quickly.
Spain is going to have to pick up their performance to pull out a win for this one. It is clear that they are very talented and its possible not have been playing to the best of their ability. This is definitely the more even of the two semi-final games. A must watch.
