WTAG to Broadcast Bravehearts Home Games Starting June 2
Tuesday, April 25, 2017
“The Bravehearts are excited to start a new relationship with Worcester's News, Weather and Traffic Station, WTAG. We appreciate the 93-year history of WTAG and their commitment to local high school, college and professional sports. Bob Lobel and the Bravehearts will be a perfect match for the station,” said Worcester Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson.
WTAG will broadcast 20 regular season weeknight and Saturday night home games throughout the 2017 season. Thirty-year sports anchor and former GoLocal contributor Bob Lobel will do the play-by-play and host the broadcasts.
“Airing Worcester Bravehearts games on WTAG is a no-brainer for the Worcester community. Hearing their hometown team’s home games on the radio builds a live and local pride for Worcester as fans get the opportunity to experience some of the best regional players battle to reach the big leagues,” said Tony Bristol, Program Director of WTAG.
Braveheart’s Start Season
The Bravehearts will begin the season with a homestand starting on Saturday, June 3 against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs followed by a game against the Pittsfield Suns on June 4.
