Message: From GoLocalWorcester by Patrick Sargent, GoLocal Worcester Contributor: This month, Massachusetts State Police reported three arrests in five days for two seperate incidents where a disabled woman was sexually assaulted. One man, Richard LeFrancois, 44, of Athol, was charged with two counts of rape and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person with a disability. As of the 19th, LeFrancois was being held on bail at the Worcester County House of Correction for a different offense. LeFrancois' victim was a developmentally disabled 20-year-old female high school student from western Massachusetts. Earlier this month, the young woman was observed to have a "hickey" on her neck. After speaking with the young woman, the school notified the state Department of Chidlren and Families. Troopers assigned to the state Disabled Persons Protection Commission and the Hampshire/Franklin State Police Detective Unit began a criminal investigation. http://www.golocalworcester.com/news/ma-state-police-arrest-3-for-sexual-assault-on-disabled-women
