Message: From GoLocalWorcester by Patrick Sargent, GoLocal Worcester Contributor: On Thanksgiving night, a 15-year-old was arrested in Worcester for possession of a loaded firearm. The teen, who ran from the police, was also charged with disorderly conduct. Worcester Police responded to Everett Gaylord Boulevard at 11:40 PM, to a report of a fight with baseball bats. As the police arrived, the suspect threw his loaded weapon and ran but was ultimately chased down by a police officer. According to a press release from the Worcester Police, "Upon arrival, officers attempted to stop one of the groups of people who were getting into a Jeep. One of the males in the back seat took off running as police approached the vehicle. An officer gave chase and observed the male toss an object. The officer caught up to the male and took him into custody. The officer went back to the spot where the male tossed the object and saw that it was a loaded handgun." This is the fourth reported incident of a teenager possessing a firearm in the last two months. http://www.golocalworcester.com/news/teens-and-firearms-worcesters-growing-gun-problem
