NEW: Sarah Patrick, Governor’s Daughter, Released from Hospital

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Gov. Deval Patrick’s daughter, Sarah, was released from an area hospital Wednesday, Brendan Ryan, the governor’s communications director, said.

The 26-year-old Sarah Patrick fell ill while out to dinner with her sister, Katherine, Monday night. She became disoriented and spent Tuesday in the hospital, where she underwent tests and was kept under observation. Gov. Patrick and his wife spent Tuesday and Wednesday with their daughter. The governor was expected to return to work Thursday.

Ryan said Gov. Patrick and his family were “thankful for all of the messages of support they have received this week.”
