Retired Educator and Former Alum Blasts City for North High Issues

In a letter to Worcester officials, Shrewsbury Street Neighborhood Association President, North High alumni, and retired educator Gary Vecchio, blasted the city for mismanagement of violence and turmoil. According to Vecchio, "...It appears that 1,360 students along with the staff of North High are being deprived of the atmosphere that is conducive to quality education."

On Wednesday afternoon, a Vice Prinicipal at North High School in Worcester was assaulted when he got caught trying to break up a fight between four students. The vice prinicpal had to go to the hospital for injuries sustained in the fight.

The Worcester Sharks (30-17-4-2) found the back of the net six times en route to a 6-3 victory over the (26-24-3-2) St. John's IceCaps on Friday night at the DCU Center.
