NEW: CVS Caremark Charity Classic Announces 2013 Lineup

Monday, April 29, 2013

Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon were on hand this morning in Providence to announce the 2013 CVS Caremark Charity Classic lineup.

Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade announced this morning in Providence that Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Steve Stricker, Lexi Thompson, and Juli Inkster are all slated to play in this year's CVS Caremark Charity Classic Golf Tournament set for June 23-25 at Rhode Island Country Club.

The CVS Caremark Charity Classic is Rhode Island's largest charitable sporting event. Since 1999, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic has given more than $16 million to community groups in the region.

Watson, who won the event with Camillo Villegas in 2008, returns for his third tournament appearance. Fowler will be playing in the tournament for the second time, and Stricker will be making his first appearance in the Classic this year.

Thompson tied for 2nd in last year's tournament along with partner Corey Pavin. Inkster was one of the first female players to join the CVS Charity Classic main field in 2007.

"We're proud to celebrate 15 years of bringing incredible golf to Rhode Island, in support of great community causes," said Eileen Howard Boone, Tournament Chairwoman. "Through the years, the tournament has driven more than $16 million dollars to local charities
