Look down at your hands right now. What do you see? Chipped polish? No polish? Dry hands? Well, get thee to the manicurist stat for a pampering manicure that will make you feel fresh and new! Here are a few great places to go.

Soft

Star Nails has three convenient locations in Newport, Bristol and Middletown to make your manicures manageable. Get the Basic Manicure for only $15 or upgrade to a Spa Manicure for $28. Plus you can add a paraffin wax treatment (talk about soft hands!) for free until February.

Save

Pop into the W Salon in Providence to get your hands pampered. A basic manicure is just $15, a spa manicure is $20 or you can go for their anti-aging manicure for $30. Plus they offer “Wacky Wednesdays” where you can choose any 2 mini services including a mini mani, mini pedicure, blow dry, mini facial, chair massage or brow wax for $20.

Sip

Step on up the nail bar at Blue Sky Spaworks in Warwick. Choosing a manicure is kind of like choosing a fruity drink on vacay: Tangerine Dream ($21) or Margarita ($21). You can also splurge on a facial for your hands: the Tourmaline Charged Age Defying Manicure ($35).

Splurge

Bask in true luxury at RGE in Warwick. Surrounded by gorgeous, high-end clothing, you can get a gorgeous manicure, have lunch and shop the boutique. Manicures start at $22 and you can indulge in a gel manicure for $85.

Savor

Luminous Salon and Spa in Providence offers many mani options. Choose a basic manicure for $20 or their Signature Manicure for $35. For just $5, you can add a warm paraffin wax treatment. They also offer the CND Shellac manicure (which this writer LOVES), which lasts 14 days! It’s a steal at $35.

Manicure Manual

Be sure you do not have open cuts on your hands to prevent infection.
Check with your salon or spa to make sure they sterilize equipment and tools for each client or bring your own tools with you.
To keep your manicure looking fresh, moisturize your hands daily.
If you get a smudge or chip early on, return to the salon as most places offer touch ups free of charge.
Pay before you paint: most places will ask you to pay prior to polishing to avoid smudging.
