David P. Forsberg

David P. Forsberg has been named the new Dean of the Anna Maria College School of Business in Paxton.

Forsberg has important business ties to the city of Worcester, as he is the former president of the Worcester Business Development Corp., an important force in the economic development of the Central Mass region, making him uniquely qualified for the demands of the position.

Forsberg's involvement with the school began in 2011 when he joined its Board of Trustees. He is a graduate Worcester Academy and Bowdoin College, and received a Master's degree in Urban Affairs from Boston University. He also studied at the Harvard Divinity School.

In the past, in addition to his work as part of the Worcester Business Development Corp., he has been a Worcester City Councilor, and served as the New England Regional Administrator-Regional Housing Commissioner for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and as the Chief Development Officer of the City of Worcester.

Forsberg replaces outgoing Dean Lloyd Hamm Jr., and begins his job July 1st.
