SEE BELOW: Heat Map of United States Unemployment Rate
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field of professional, scientific, and business services added 2,600 jobs over the month while trade, transportation, and utilities lost 3,200 jobs over the month.
The unemployment rate is based on a monthly sample of households and the job estimates are taken from a monthly sample survey of employers.
