poll: Tech Collective: Will You Buy a Laptop or an IPad in 2011?

Monday, January 03, 2011

According to Gartner Group, PC sales will be up 14.3% in 2010 compared to 2009 - a near depression year.  The bad news is that the PC market was suppose to be up 17.9%.

“PC market growth will be impacted by devices that enable better on-the-go content consumption such as media tablets and next-generation smartphones,” said Raphael Vasquez of Gartner in a statement. “These devices will be increasing embraced as complements if not substitutes for PCs where voice and light data consumption are desired.”

Analysts in the technology realm predict IPad sales ranging from 36 million to as many as 48 million.
