8th Annual Worcester’s Best Chef Competition on Sunday

Friday, January 23, 2015

On Sunday, Mechanics Hall will host the 8th Annual Worcester's Best Chef Competition. Jen Carter and Rick Brackett from WXLO will be the Masters of Ceremony. There will be 20 chefs competing in two categories: Judge's Choice and People's Choice.

For the People's Choice, the people that attend the competition will receive a tabbed wristband and will choose their top three chefs after tasting all 20 dishes. The Judge's Choice Award is decided by a seven member panel of judges, and the panel chooses the top three chefs. The three chefs then compete on stage 'Iron Chef-style' in front of the crowd.

The event will also be hosting Tantasqua Regional High School's and Worcester Technical High School's Culinary Arts students. The students will shadow the competing chefs and will receive a donation at the end of the event.

Highlights of the event include valet parking, wine and craft beer tastings, a cash bar, balcony seating, and a paparazzi photo mob.

The competition starts at 4:00 PM. To purchase tickets, please click here: Worcester's Best Chef 2015.
