New England Clam Chowder Named MA’s “Unofficial Comfort Food”

Thrillist.com has to put together an in-depth list of the "The Unofficial Comfort Food of Every State in America." Massachusetts' unofficial comfort food was deemed to be New England Clam Chowder.

The article states, "Many Bay Staters might point you to the fluffernutter (a peanut butter & Marshmallow Fluff sandwich) as the state's definitive comfort food, and they might be right. But a warm cup of thick New England clam chowder will do the trick more often than not, too. Notice I resisted the urge to say "chowdah". That's reverence right there."

On Tuesday, GoLocal Worcester released the 10 Best Soups in Worcester. On that list, the best Clam Chowder (pictured) went to New England Roast Beef on Park Avenue in Worcester.
