Worcester Residents Invited to Contribute to EVO’s New Menu

Friday, April 26, 2013

EVO Dining co-owner and executive chef Albert Maykel III wants to know what Worcester diners want to see on his new menu for late summer.

Have you ever made a meal at home that you want to see made at your favorite restaurant? Well, now is your golden opportunity to recommend it to EVO.

Chef Albert Maykel III, Executive Chef and Co-Owner of EVO Dining, is seeking out suggestions for his new menu, which is set to arrive in late summer.

“Because we are well-known for having something for everyone, we wanted to attack this new menu from the angle of the customer,” said Maykel. “This will give me strong feel for what guests prefer to choose from, and it will reveal what is lacking in terms of options while dining out.”

EVO Dining

Opened in 2008 by siblings and co-owners Maykel and Celeste Zack, EVO Dining has been voted the winner of Worcester’s Best Overall Restaurant, Best Place to be Seen, and Best Organic and Vegan Food. Maykel was also recently named Worcester’s Best Chef 2013, winning the Iron Chef Competition that was held at Mechanics Hall this January.

“I am still dedicated to preparing dishes with a focus on diversity, flavor and great ingredients," he said. "I am continuously experimenting and creating new concepts for our menus and many times I will offer them as a special during dinner services."

EVO’s current menu features a variety of cuisines, including American, Italian, Mexican, and Asian plates. For those wondering what kind of menu suggestions are sought after, Maykel provided a hint.
“Because we are a family owned business, we have the freedom to be open to anything, really,” he said. “We can take chances with our menu and make changes where we need to. I am interested in every aspect from food products to favorite dishes. I will ask, “What is something you like to eat when you’re out?” By directly identifying what customers are looking for, I can create a menu that supplies that demand.”

And if anyone was worried that their favorites might disappear off of the menu, don’t fret. “I can assure you that our top sellers aren’t going anywhere,” Maykel said. “Our goal in the new menu is to offer new and exciting dishes for our existing customers and to attract new customers who may have not had a chance to dine with us yet.”

Have a dish in mind?

Be sure to send it in soon for a chance to have it featured on EVO’s menu. And for those unfamiliar with the restaurant, a visit to their website is a must.

“We are looking to launch the new menu by the end of the summer. I will be accepting and considering all input that comes our way until mid May, giving us time for development and training before launching it to the public,” Maykel said. “The public can submit their suggestions on our Facebook page or by emailing us at [email protected] knows, you may even see your suggestion on the next EVO Dining menu.”
