Elmo’s Red Tie Ball to Benefit Hasbro

Saturday, March 05, 2011

Tickle us, Elmo.

Hasbro Children’s Hospital is furthering its commitment to improving the lives of patients and families with its annual fundraising gala to benefit the hospital. Each year, the event takes on a different children’s theme. This year’s ball is titled Elmo’s Red Tie Ball and will feature a visit from the beloved furry red monster from Sesame Street.

The festivities at the event will include a cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, dinner, live music and dancing. As a special presentation by title sponsor Hasbro, Inc., the evening will also include a guest performance by Colbie Caillat, a platinum-selling singer-songwriter of hits such as “Bubbly” and “Realize.”

The 2011 gala contributions will support several critical programs with the greatest needs at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The annual Hasbro Children’s Hospital ball has raised nearly $7.5 million since its inception in 1993. The event is presented by Hasbro, Inc., Toys‘R’Us, KPMG and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment.

“Elmo’s Red Tie Ball” to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital, the hospital’s 18th annual premier fundraising event,  Sat March 5, 2011, 5:30pm-midnight, Rhode Island Convention Center, One Sabin Street, Providence.
