Buddy
We get by with a little help from our friends, but to really THRIVE you need a Buddy. Lucky for you, that’s my name and I’m looking for a home! I ended up with the nice folks at Broken Tail Rescue when my people moved away and just left me and my feline siblings behind. I know … pretty crummy, but my faith in the human race was restored by a nice neighborhood couple who fed me on their porch, gave me my present name, and even bought me a nice fluffy bed that keeps me toasty warm. That bed came with me to my foster home, and I am rather attached to it, so it will be coming with me when I get adopted. Gosh I hope that will be soon. My foster mom is great, but I really want a home to call my own.
Zarra
*Come meet Zarra on Saturday, May 3 from 11a - 4pm at the Cambridge PetSmart.*
Zarra is three years old and she weighs about 30 lbs. Zarra has the traits of a typical active border collie - she loves to run and play and would make an excellent agility or other sporting dog. However, while she is very active, she also knows how to calm down and enjoy the quiet evenings with the family.
Zarra would do best in an active home without young children. Zarra has shown guarding of people and food items in her previous home so she would do best in a home without children or with children over the age of 12. She gets along very well with other dogs but can also guard resources among her doggie friends.
Guinness
Hi my name is Guinness I am a Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mix, am about 1 year old and weigh about 8 lbs. My daily schedule consists of playing, then a long nap, with some more playing, and an even longer nap. My favorite place to be is on the back of the couch on top of a blanket. I was so nervous when I came to my foster home but now I run around the house like I have been here for years! I am always following my foster mom around hoping that she will chase me and I get so excited when she does! There is a video of my playing that you should watch. I constantly play bow and prance around, my legs are really long for my body so I look hilarious!
Kiara and Sammy
Sammy and Kiara are best buds! They are 13 years old and have spent their entire lives together. Where one of them goes - the other is not far behind. They are senior dogs, but definitely have some pep in their step. When left out in the backyard, they trot around together, then go their own ways, then reunite and trot back together again!
Riley
Riley is a happy four year old Puggle. She's new to rescue so we'll know more about her personality as time goes by. Riley is a little overweight at 28 lbs and we're working on giving her a slimmer figure. She's housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs. Riley has "cherry eye" in her left eye which will be surgically corrected in the next few days.
Mika
Hello! My name is Mika. Do you like going for casual walks, riding in the car and hanging out on the couch with a special dog friend? Then I’m just the girl for you! I love to roll in the grass and soak up the sun, and I love having my belly rubbed. Everyone that meets me falls in love... I love people, and am really wonderful with kids! I am the most comfortable around people though, so I'm really looking to be the only pet in the house. I am fully housebroken, very polite, and great in my crate, so I will be a very good pet!
