Mitzi

Meet Mitzi, a sweet little tiger girl. She is approximately 5-6 months old and was found living under a porch with Buzz. Since nobody was feeding them, the group that trapped them couldn't put them back outside, so they called us. Although Mitzi and Buzz are not brother and sister, they do enjoy each other's company and, if possible, we would like to see them adopted together.

Mitzi can be pet to the extent that she will lift her chin to be rubbed and purr while you do it. Also, she will take Pounce treats right from your hand.

Buzz

Meet Buzz, the cutest orange boy. He is approximately 6-7 months old and was found with Mitzi living under a porch. Since nobody was feeding them, the group that trapped them could not put them back outside, so they called us. Although Buzz and Mitzi are not brother and sister, they do enjoy each other's company and, if possible, we would like to see them adopted together.

Buzz is at that tall, lanky "teenage" stage. Because he did not get enough attention as a kitten, it takes him a while to warm up to people. Buzz has made great strides in his foster home. He will take Pounce treats right from your hand, and come back for more. The biggest motivator for Buzz is food! He loves both wet and dry food - and lots of it.

Buzz is friendly with other cats and very playful. He would definitely benefit from living with another friendly kitten or young, playful adult cat. Laser light is his favorite exercise.

Mary

Meet Mary! She is a beautiful 8 week old tabby. She weighs about 2 pounds and is very sweet! Mary and her siblings were found in front of a church. They definitely had a home before because they are very affectionate and love to be pet. Mary is the most reserved of the bunch. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle on the window and sun bathe. She does like to lay on your lap if your relaxing on the couch. Mary does have her kitten side where she runs around and wrestles with her siblings. She loves cats,dogs and kids! We would love to see her adopted with one of her siblings or to a home with another friendly cat. She is a beautiful little girl waiting for her forever home!

Luna is a 3 yr old female. She and her housemate Moon came to Broken Tail when their owner couldn't keep them. Luna is very sweet and affectionate once she's settled in.

Tux is a super sweet one year old black and white fellow.

He was found as a stray in Dorchester but he doesn't seem fazed by his time on the streets. He seems comfortable with other cats and dogs.

Mika

Mika is a very special dog, and we are looking for a special person or family to give her a permanent home of her own. Mika is so sweet, and has so much potential, but has spent three years in a shelter and one year in foster homes. Mika is a 6 year old, 40 pound, well mannered and friendly girl. She is a mix— we think maybe hound and pit bull, definitely 100% pure sweetness. She likes to go for walks, ride in the car, and of course hang out on the couch. She is loving the warm weather, and likes to roll in the grass and soak up the sun. She loves people, and is really wonderful with kids.

Dina

Meet Dina! Dina is a Cocker Spaniel and Miniature Poodle mix who weighs about 10 lbs. She just got a much needed haircut because she was covered in painful mats when she was found. She is still getting used to her new body and she loves to be scratched and rub on things. She was very fearful at the shelter but since she has gotten to her foster home she is a huge love bug and lap dog. So far she has sat on every person's lap that has come to the house and given them kisses. She has gotten along fine with the other dogs in the foster home but will let them know if they are invading her space too much. Dina also knows how to sit for a treat. I wonder what else she knows! She makes great eye contact and is very eager to please.

Onyx

Say hello to Onyx! He's a Boston Terrier/Chi mix who weighs about 15 lbs and is 5 years old. This guy is a treasure! There's not a thing or person he doesn't like. His current foster home has cats and a dog and gets along great with all of them. He loves to play and wrestle with his puppy friend. He isn't a huge barker, but will bark when someone is at the door, or someone new comes over but quiets down quickly. Onyx walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys taking breaks in the shade on a hot day. He is a mellow dog who will make a great companion for someone.

Have you lost your shadow? We have found it! Elsa is a beautiful young Chihuahua mix who weighs about 10 lbs. She just loves to follow her foster mom everywhere she goes and nap close to her when she is resting. She was very nervous at the shelter but in her foster home she is full of spunk! She can almost jump directly into her foster mom's arms! Elsa walks great on a leash and is great with other dogs. She enjoys being around people as well. She loves to run around the back yard and entice the other dogs to play with her. She hasn't gotten any takers yet. Elsa would love to have a doggy friend to play with in her forever home.
