Lexie
Lexie is a petite, young domestic short hair and Himalayan mix. She’s got striking, huge eyes!
Lexie can be affectionate but she can also be quite feisty and have a short temper. She will need some help to relax and become comfortable in her new home but with patience and time we think she will be a great companion for the right owners.
We think that Lexie would do best in a household with experienced cat owners and no small children.
Bruiser
Bruiser is a 4 year old chi mix weighing approximately 10 pounds. He loves to hang out on your lap and will be your shadow when you get up. He loves to go on walks and has a healthy appetite! He is doing really well with his house training. He gets along great with other dogs. He loves to play and roll around. Just spend 5 minutes with him and you’ll fall in love!
Buddy
We get by with a little help from our friends, but to really THRIVE you need a Buddy. Lucky for you, that’s my name and I’m looking for a home! I ended up with the nice folks at Broken Tail Rescue when my people moved away and just left me and my feline siblings behind. I know … pretty crummy, but my faith in the human race was restored by a nice neighborhood couple who fed me on their porch, gave me my present name, and even bought me a nice fluffy bed that keeps me toasty warm. That bed came with me to my foster home, and I am rather attached to it, so it will be coming with me when I get adopted. Gosh I hope that will be soon. My foster mom is great, but I really want a home to call my own.
Star
This pretty girl is Star. Star has the softest fur around, she feels like a puppy! She is about 2 years old and weighs about 12 lbs. Star is new to our rescue and we will update her profile as we learn more about her. So far we know that she likes to give her foster mom kisses and sit in her lap. She is good with other dogs but if they are too playful for her she will hide under the couch from them. We think she would be good with kids as well. She has a hint of shyness and will just need a home who will show her how awesome life is outside of the shelter.
Abbey
Abbey is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! She is a low-energy, beautiful mixed breed who longs to be the perfect addition to a loving family. This mellow, 55 pound bundle of warmth is a great bed side companion. One of her favorite activities is lounging on the couch with her family. She will lay down right next to you and stay there for hours. When she cannot snuggle up next to a family member, she happily flops down on the floor or her blanket. Abbey is an obedient and friendly girl who also enjoys a game a fetch, going for walks, and any fun activity in your yard. She just loves to be around people of all ages. Abbey is very calm especially when she gets to know you. When my family and friends come over, they always comment on how well behaved and quiet she is.
Tarzan
Six months ago, I was found as a stray in Worcester. I was emaciated, dehydrated, and scared. Fortunately, a local facility took me in and over the course of four months, helped me to put on some weight. While I was a favorite with the staff, the stress of the kennel was just too much for me. Thankfully, I’ve been moved into a foster home and am now enjoying the comforts of quiet living.
Mika
Hello! My name is Mika. Do you like going for casual walks, riding in the car and hanging out on the couch with a special dog friend? Then I’m just the girl for you! I love to roll in the grass and soak up the sun, and I love having my belly rubbed. Everyone that meets me falls in love… I love people, and am really wonderful with kids! I am the most comfortable around people though, so I’m really looking to be the only pet in the house. I am fully housebroken, very polite, and great in my crate, so I will be a very good pet!
Jax
Meet Jax, a handsome, tan and white, sweet 1–2 year old male Chihuahua mix. Jax enjoys the company of adults, children, and other dogs alike. He is playful and loves attention. Jax enjoys demonstrating how happy he is to see his foster parents come home, often greeting them with spins and excitable jumps. He also plays nicely with both his human and dog foster siblings. Jax is good on a leash and enjoys the outdoors. While his adorable looks gets him out of trouble with his foster parents when he has accidents in the house he will need consistent training and boundaries when it comes to where he can relieve himself. Jax is waiting to shower his perfect match with love and energy.
