In support of the St. John's Parish Christmas 'Giving Tree,' 'Scare for Care' and Electric Haze on Millbury Street are teaming up to throw a frightening Christmas bash on December 13.
"This our third year doing 'Scare for Care,' but our first doing the "Fright Before Christmas" holiday twist," said Scare for Care organizer Elliot Rivera. "We are still benefiting the Saint John's Giving Tree Toy Drive for disadvantaged kids in Worcester."
Typically held around Halloween, 'Scare for Care' methodology is raising money for a great cause, but having a lot of fun doing it too. For example, at the party,The Groove Street Band will be performing Blues, Funk, Soul and R&B. "This is our first year with a live band," said Rivera. "And it's our first year at Electric Haze and they're really supporting us and the event."
Party-goers can also expect an Ugly Sweater contest, a Most Creative Santa contest, raffles, prizes and photos with Santa Claus.
Cost of admission to the party is $10. Admission includes your donation, one raffle ticket, and one drink coupon. Proceeds from certain drink specials will go directly to the donations to St. John's. Electric Haze is at 26 Millbury Street in Worcester.
