video: BETTER LIVING: Stylish, Reusable Shopping Bags

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Lifestyle expert Candita Clayton shows how to combine great shopping style with smart reuse with these bags that do it all.

Candita recommends...

The bag everyone asks her about is from Blue Q, the Pittsfield, MA company whose bags are made from 95% post-consumer waste, and who combine searing wit and great design with environmental consciousness.

The sling bag is from Envirosax, pioneers in reusable bags, and this Slingsax ($15.95) combines 55% flat-weave polyester with 45% RPET, a proprietary blend made up of 100% recycled product, with 80% pre-consumer and 20% post-consumer recycled polyester content (mainly plastic bottles). So are the four bags she keeps in her car at all times.

Also among Candita's faves: foldable, lightweight (and cute) bags from BlueAvocado.
