Broadway Veteran to Toast Theater by the Sea

Broadway veteran Michael McGrath, currently appearing in the Tony-Award winning musical Memphis, returns to his old stomping grounds this Saturday for a fund-raising event to benefit Matunuck's Theatre By The Sea. McGrath appeared in numerous productions at the Theatre from 1977-1991, including Sugar Babies, Oklahoma!, Grease, and Showboat, while Broadway credits include Memphis, Spamalot (Tony nominee), Anything Goes and The Goodbye Girl, among other hits.

Star Power Returns

McGrath will be joined by fellow Theatre alumni including Tony Award-winner Cady Huffman (The Producers), Gary Lynch (Les Miserables), audience favorite Lennie Watts, Martin Sola (Coram Boy, La Boheme, The King and I) and more to support the Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the non-profit producing entity of the theater, for the first-ever fund-raiser, Beyond the Sea.

Beyond the Sea will take place Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Theater. Tickets are $75 (which includes the champagne hour and performance) and $125 (which includes the champagne hour, performance and VIP after-party) and are on sale at the box office Monday through Saturday from 10-4pm, online at www.theatrebythesea.com or by calling 782-TKTS (8587).
