Chris Sparling Talks “Buried”

Monday, October 04, 2010

It's no underground film.

Buried, an Indie thriller written by Rhode Island's own Chris Sparling (who recently moved back to RI with his wife and baby) opens nationwide this Friday, and the buzz is huge.

With great early critical response to the taut film about an American contractor (played by Ryan Reynolds) working in Iraq who finds himself buried alive and must engineer his own rescue, Sparling awaits the response of the country's moviegoers. And enjoys being back in his hometown, not to mention working on several very interesting upcoming projects.

He took a break from the action to join Steven Feinberg, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Film and Television Office, to chat about Buried, on location in downtown Providence.

For more on Chris Sparling, read GoLocalProv's Andrea E. McHugh's interview, here.
