slides: Crowds Flock to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Worcester

Monday, March 11, 2013

Worcester's Park Ave. was filled with green and orange on Sunday as crowds gathered to enjoy the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Tens of thousands of visitors brought out their cloverleaves and leprechaun hats and bars opened for a busy day.

Despite the downpour of snow the area saw on Friday, warm sunshine cleared the street for the parade of bagpipes, Irish step-dancers, and floats from all over the region.

Green hair, green clothes, and even green dogs -- the parade had it all!
