GETTING OUT: Central Mass New Year’s Parties

Thursday, December 27, 2012

The best party day of the year is here again. Plenty of places in the Worcester area are bringing in the New Year with a food, music, dancing and alcohol-filled bang. Here are just a few.

Lucky Dog Music Hall
89 Green Street, Worcester
Ring in the New Year with a rambunctious music-filled extravaganza at the famous Lucky Dog Music Hall. Worcester's favorite 80's cover band Flock of A**Holes will be performing in the way only they know how. There will be a $10 dollar champagne toast at midnight and plenty of surprises. Also check out some fun over the weekend and pre-game before New Year's with performances from 90's party band "How Bizarre" on Sunday, the Hard Drivin' R & B on Saturday and The Shop on Friday.

The night begins with an award-winning local free-style poetry, spoken word, and improv music performance by the Dirty Gerund. There will also be plenty of games, food (especially bacon) prizes, and give-aways. Starting at 10 pm until the end of the night there will be the Dump 'em Out Productions Drunken Karaoke Jam featuring singing, dancing, balloon droppings, shots and more bacon.

Their very own ball will drop on the patio at midnight. There will be music by Swingabilly Lounge, and Driftin' Sam and Betsy earlier on from 7- 9 pm. Afterwards, take advantage of a special New Year's Eve room package with a glass of champagne, and next morning enjoy a New Year's Day brunch.
