Award-winning singer Carrie Underwood is coming to the DCU Center this fall.

The superstar and former American Idol winner announced the tour dates of her North American arena concert series “The Blown Away Tour.” The tour was announced this morning when Underwood appeared on Good Morning America to promote her new album, Blown Away. The singer will hit Worcester for a show on September 19th.

“I can’t wait to get back out on he road and perform new music from my new album for my fans,” Underwood said. “We have a lot of exciting things planned!”

Underwood’s last two tours, the “Carnival Ride Tour” in 2008 and “Play on Tour” in 2010 performed a total of nearly 250 shows with 2.2 million fans in attendance. She ended both years as the top-ranked female touring artist.

Since releasing her debut album Some Hearts in 2005, Underwood has sold 14 million total albums. She has amassed 14 No. 1 singles, and became the first country singer and American Idol winner to have 10 No. 1 singles off her first two albums.
