Rhode Island was at the Emmy Awards in Hollywood last night, and came home with some coveted statues. Here's the whole scoop on which RI-connected talent won big.

ABC's Modern Family was comedy's big winner last night, raking in five awards overall, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Two of the winning co-executive producers (as well as writers), Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, are alumni of the Wheeler School in Providence. Further, Modern Family's Julie Bowen took the first statue of the night for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Bowen attended Brown University.

The Amazing Race on CBS was honored as Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, reminding Rhode Island of its connection to that nail-biting programming: Dan and Jordan Pious, winners of The Amazing Race Season 16, are from Rhode Island.

AMC's Mad Men won the coveted Outstanding Drama Series this year, casting a glow on two actors with Rhode Island connections. Leading man Jon Hamm was a member of the cast of the show Providence in 2000, and actor Christopher Stanley, who plays Henry Francis on Mad Men, was born and raised in Providence. (Hamm also brought good luck to NBC's SNL, which nabbed a Creative Emmy for makeup for its episode Hamm hosted.)

Glee, the popular FOX comedy, was honored when Gwyneth Paltrow received a Creative Emmy for her guest appearance as Holly Holliday. Glee features a Rhode Island product on the show: Fit & Fresh plastic containers made by RI's MEDport and developed by Chuck Miga, Larry Wesson and Brian Carey.

Also in the Creative Awards, RISD graduate Seth McFarlane's Family Guy took home technical honors for Sound Mixing.
