Star Wars Day Coming to Worcester Art Museum

Star Wars Day is heading to the Worcester Art Museum on May 17. Fans of the Star Wars films will be able to experience the Jedi code, watch re-enactments of the Imperail and Rebel forces in costume, and explore light saber drop-in workshops.

“The Worcester Art Museum is thrilled to be hosting this community day with a Star Wars theme,” said Katrina Stacy, WAM Associate Curator of Education. “This day-long event is open to visitors of all ages, the Worcester community, and, of course, devoted Star Wars’ fans. Please come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character to join Jedi Knights and Imperial Stormtroopers for a day of ‘Force-full’ fun!”

Star Wars Day visitors will be able to compare up-close the armor of a Gothic kinght to a Stormtrooper's armor and be eye-witness to a light saber battle. 

Members of of the New England Garrison of the 501st Legion, the Alderaan Base of the Rebel Alliance will be performing demonstrations and sharing information on the way of the "Force."

Star Wars Day is free with Museum admission. WAM members enjoy free admission.For event information, visit worcesterart.org.
