From big festivals such as the MGM LIVE Summer Concert Series in Springfield and Boston Calling to Brown University’s spring weekend, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the Spring lineup.
To help you plan out your Spring season, GoLocal has compiled a list of 25 must-see Spring concerts at venues ranging from Brown University to MGM Springfield.
The concerts are listed in order by date.

April 6
Back Rhodes at Hill's Tavern
Chepachet, RI
Back Rhodes has been on the rise since winning the WCTK Cat Country 98.1's Hometown Throwdown in September 2016, winning the prize of opening up Cowboy Up Fest at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, MA featuring BIG & RICH.
Their debut album, “On the Run,” was released in 2017 and features seven tracks
Back Rhodes was named Best Group by New England Country Music in April 2017 for their contributions to local country music in 2016.

Zack Slik at Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co
South Kingstown, RI
Worcester musician Zack Slik will be perfuming at the Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co.
Zack Slik's music is influenced by the trains, rivers, and characters he's met. All performed in a unique one-man band style, Zack brings a mix of American roots, blues, and jugband jazz to his original songs and traditional arrangements.
Whether behind the mandolin, banjo, or guitar, Zack shares his love for the music with a traditional feel and modern touch.
The concert goes from 5 p.m. to 8 pm.

Yo-Yo Ma at Mechanics Hall
Worcester, MA
Ma has recorded more than 90 albums and received 18 Grammy Awards.
Along with his recordings of the standard classical repertoire, he has recorded a wide variety of folk music such as American bluegrass music, traditional Chinese melodies, the tangos of Argentinian composer Ástor Piazzolla, and Brazilian music.
He has collaborated with artists including jazz singer Bobby McFerrin, guitarist Carlos Santana, and singer-songwriter and guitarist James Taylor.
He has been a United Nations Messenger of Peace since 2006 and was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2001, Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011, and Polar Music Prize in 2012.

Justin Timberlake at Mohegan Sun
Uncasville, CT
Justin Timberlake is bringing his "Man of the Woods Tour" to Mohegan Sun Arena for two shows.
Timberlake has sold over 32 million albums and 56 million singles globally, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists.
He is the recipient of ten Grammy Awards, four Emmy Awards, three Brit Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards.
April 13
Alabama at XL Center
Hartford, CT
Alabama has over 30 number one country records on the Billboard charts to their credit and have sold over 75 million records, making them the most successful band in country music history.
The group’s biggest success came in the 1980s, where the band had over 27 number one hits, seven multi-platinum albums and received numerous awards.
April 19
Migos & 21 Savage at Dunkin' Donuts Center
Providence, RI
Migos is hip hop group from Lawrenceville, Georgia, founded in 2008.
They are composed of three rappers known by their stage names Takeoff, Offset and Quavo.
Migos released their debut album "Yung Rich Nation" in July of 2015, and their second album "Culture" in January of 2017.
Their most recent album, "Culture II" was released in January of 2018.
21 Savage
21 Savage is a British rapper, songwriter and record producer based in Atlanta, Georgia
21 Savage released his debut studio album, Issa Album, on July 7, 2017.

New England Metal and Hardcore Festival at The Palladium
Worcester, MA
The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival is an annual festival lasting three days. It hosts heavy metal and hardcore punk bands, as well as an area for record labels and other vendors.
The festival has been located at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts since its inception in 1999.

Aminé at Brown Spring Weekend
Portland, Oregon-based rapper Aminé will headline Friday night at Brown University’s spring weekend.
He is best known for his debut single “Caroline” which reached to top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016.
April 27
Daniel Caesar at Brown Spring Weekend
Providence, RI
Caesar is an R&B singer from Toronto Canada.
He will be headlining Brown’s Spring Weekend on Saturday, April 27.
Caesar is known for songs such as “Get You,” and “Who Hurt You.”
April 28
Collington at Central Congregational Church
Middleboro, MA
East Providence’s Collington will be performing at the Central Congregational Church as part of Mark Lee’s “Church Tour.”
Most recently, Collington released a new single called “Mountain.”
He is also known for songs such as “Here We Go,” “this Ain’t Home” and more.

The Silks at Thread City Hop Fest
Willimantic, CT
Providence-based band The Silks will perform at the Thread City Hop Fest in Connecticut.
The Silks won two straight Boston Music Awards for “Blues Artist of the Year,” in 2016 and 2017.
The Silks have supported a wide variety of national touring artists such as The Replacements in 2015, Rocky Erickson, Wanda Jackson, Dirty Heads, The Drive-By Truckers, Black Joe Lewis, Deer Tick, The Sadies, The Sheepdogs, Marcus King Band 2016, Patrick Sweany, Kenny Wayne Shepherd 2017, G Love & Special Sauce and Marshall Tucker Band in 2018.

RI Music Hall of Fame Concert at The Met
Pawtucket, RI
The 2019 inductees in include from left, Gerry Hereux accepting for Alan Fox, Jon Campbell, Chris and Rick Turchetti accepting for Rico Turchetti, and Dave Howard, Steve Bigelow, Neal Vitullo, Paul Tomasello, Jack Howarth, and Mike LaBelle, all of Neal & The Vipers.

Foreigner at Hanover Theatre
Worcester, MA
Foreigner is one of the world's best-selling bands of all time with worldwide sales of more than 80 million records, including 37.5 million records in the U.S.
Their biggest hit single, "I Want to Know What Love Is", topped the United Kingdom and United States charts among others.

Don McLean at Greenwich Odeum
East Greenwich, RI
Don McLean is best known for his 1971 hit “American Pie.”
In 2004, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
In January 2018, BMI certified that "American Pie" and "Vincent" had reached five million and three million airplays respectively.

Max Weinberg's Jukebox at Greenwich Odeum
East Greenwich, RI
Performing over 80 shows so far throughout 2017 and 2018 Max Weinberg’s Jukebox continues to barnstorm the country, blasting out the hits.
From Beatles to Bruce and Stones to Steppenwolf the band infuses these classics with the respect the songs deserve.

Trailer Trash at MGM Springfield Plaza
Western Massachusetts-based Trailer Trash will be performing at MGM Springfield’s Summer Concert Series on May 24.
The band is made up of Joe Fazio, Jim Stanek, Jeff DeCarli, Bob Stanek and Jim Staf.

Boston Calling 2019
Boston, MA
Boston Calling, the first New England music festival of the season kicks off in downtown Boston on the weekend of May 24 to the 26.
The festival features performances from Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott, Hozier and much more.

Slayer at Xfinity Center
Mansfield, MA
Slayer has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, a box set, six music videos, two extended plays, and a cover album.
Four of the band's studio albums have received gold certification in the United States.
The band has received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one in 2007 for the song "Eyes of the Insane" and one in 2008 for the song "Final Six.”

FAT at MGM Springfield Plaza
Springfield, MA
FAT was officially disbanded in 1985 but urged by drummer/musical Ron Hurst (Ort, Steppenwolf) and they re-formed in the mid-nineties to do a reunion concert and they have been playing several gigs a year ever since.
The group is made up of Peter Newland, Guy DeVito, Michael Benson, Jim Kaminsky, William Benjamin, Christopher Newland, and William Perry.

Patti LaBelle at Mohegan Sun Arena
Uncasville, CT
In a career that has spanned fifty years, LaBelle has sold more than 50 million records worldwide.
LaBelle has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Apollo Theater Hall of Fame.
