Want to save money on garbage fees and learn how to produce a valuable soil amendment for your landscape? The University of Rhode Island Master Composter & Recycler Training Program is a 6-session training program that provides a solution to one of the state’s major environmental problems: the issue of solid waste. By recycling and composting in our backyards, we can sustainably reduce the amount of material sent to the landfill. It focuses on waste management, recycling, vermicomposting (composting with worms), large scale composting, compost as a biogas, urban composting and much more.
