Worcester Police Make Arrest for Crack Cocaine on King Street

Saturday, June 13, 2020

This week members of the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the King Street area in response to complaints from area residents.

Officers were watching the intersection of Main and King Streets when they observed a male, later identified as Markel Pagan, eighteen-years-old of Illinois St, walking west on King St. Officers observed a male approach Pagan.

According to Worcester police, after a brief conversation between the two males, officers observed Pagan receive paper currency and remove a small item from a plastic bag. Pagan gave the small item to the male, and the male walked away, according to Worcester police.

Officers stopped the buyer, and found what appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers attempted to stop Pagan, who pulled away and attempted to run. Pagan was apprehended and placed under arrest. Officers recovered thirteen plastic bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine. Pagan is charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance with intent to Distribute, and Resisting Arrest.
