Worcester Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run of Pedestrian

On Thursday night at approximately 11:30 PM the Crash Reconstruction Unit was activated for a hit and run pedestrian accident that occurred at 273 Lincoln Street.

The pedestrian was identified as a 58-year-old male of Worcester. He was rushed to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries and is currently in ICU. Worcester police were notified that the vehicle fled the area after the crash.

The Crash Reconstruction Team began to search the area for the suspect vehicle which was a dark-colored Cadillac. Officers located the vehicle on Uxbridge Street. During the investigation, officers learned that Kathryn Quinn, 46 of 42 Uxbridge Street was operating the vehicle.

The preliminary investigation reveals that when Quinn approached the area where Duxbury Road meets Lincoln Street, she crossed over the double line and proceeded to drive on the sidewalk. She struck the pedestrian along with two parking meters and a "no parking" sign. Ms. Quinn continued down Lincoln Street to McKinley Road, according to Worcester police.

The following charges are being sought through a criminal complaint:

Operating so as to Endanger, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle,

Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury,

Leaving the Scene of Property Damage,

Operating on the Side Walk and Not Staying within Marked Lanes.
