Holy Cross Ranks 4th in U.S. in Alumni Participation in Giving

Holy Cross alumni are the most giving in the country.
According to a recent analysis in by the Council for Aid to Education (CAE), Holy Cross is ranked fourth in the U.S. in alumni participation in giving.
“This achievement reflects the immense loyalty, dedication, and generosity of the Holy Cross community. Many alumni give back to the College and our talented, hardworking and caring students and their most treasured dreams depend on this help. A gift is a vote of confidence and underscores the community’s deep affection for Holy Cross and its unwavering commitment to our mission,” said Tracy Barlok, vice president for advancement.
Other schools among the top 20 include Princeton University, Dartmouth College, Amherst College and University of Notre Dame.
Holy Cross Giving
In 2017, Holy Cross alumni gave at a rate of 50% or more, based on Holy Cross methodology.
The CAE puts Holy Cross at 44%.
The Survey
The annual survey also reports that charitable contributions to colleges and universities in the United States rose 6.3 percent in 2017 compared to 2016, which at $43.6 billion, is the highest fundraising total reported by CAE since the survey’s inception in 1957.
