MA State Police Video of Search and Rescue in Carver

On Sunday evening, Massachusetts State Police and Carver Police Department worked together on a search and rescue mission for a missing hiker near Plymouth Airport. The search was helped by the Air Wing Division of the State Police.

In the video, viewers can see the hiker, the fire he made, and the rescue crew, being guided in by the State Police Air Wing.

According to a Carver Police Department statement: ".. at about 4:45pm Carver Public Safety Dispatch received a 911 call from a 55 year old male resident who had become lost in the woods behind his home. T

Carver Police, Fire and EMS personnel responded to the area and coordinated a search to locate the missing man. They were assisted by personnel from the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, the Environmental Police, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department and the SEMLEC Search and Rescue unit.

The search was successful in locating the individual. He was unharmed despite the cold temperature. He was safely back at his home some four hours after the original call to 911."
