NEW: Worcester Forum Rescheduled

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

A community relations forum that was supposed to take place this month, but was cancelled the day it was supposed to be held, has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at Claremont Academy.

The new date was set during a meeting of the Worcester Clergy and Police Community Partnership (WCPCP) at the police department Monday. The WCPCP, an organization that is about eight years old, is sponsoring the forum, which will focus on gun violence and race relations. It was supposed to be held Thursday, April 19, but was cancelled because, according to the police department, Chief Gary Gemme would be unable to attend.
