Safest Towns in Massachusetts - See Who from Central MA Made the List

Friday, April 22, 2016

Of the 100 safest towns in America, Massachusetts scored a disproportionate number and Central Massachusetts was well represented on new data released on Thursday.

SafeWise released its annual 100 Safest Cities in America Report and to develop the data analysts considered the most recent FBI crime data from 2014 to rank these cities, which all have a minimum population of 10,000 people. The methodology is different from GoLocal's look at FBI data relating to violent crimes -- READ HERE.  While both studies leverage FBIcrime data for the most recent available year, GoLocal reviews more serious violent crimes.

Here is what safewise wrote about each Massachusetts community and how each ranked among the top 100.
