St. Peter-Marian Jr./Sr. High to Host Open House on January 29

SPM currently serves students in grades 7-12 from 44 area cities and towns. SPM will be providing transportation for students in Southern Worcester County for the 2015-2016 school year.
In affiliation with WPI, Saint Peter Marian is in its third year teaching the 'Project Lead the Way.' SPM is also the first Catholic school in Massachusetts to institute a nationally accredited STEM program.
According to a press release, "SPM offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum across the academic disciplines including honors sections, 12 Advanced Placement courses and more than 200 Virtual High School (VHS) courses. More than 100 students will have the opportunity to take VHS courses this academic year allowing students access to additional courses including psychology, journalism, environmental science and Mandarin Chinese."
"Student driven clubs offer extracurricular activities including, but not limited to, Art, Drama, Math, Economics, Habitat for Humanity, SADD (Students against Destructive Decisions), Liturgical Choir and Mock Trial. In addition, the school has 23 athletic programs including MIAA Division I Varsity, Junior Varsity and Junior High levels. Currently, more than 60% of the current student body participates in at least one athletic program."
Saint Peter Marian is a Catholic Diocesan school for grades seven through twelve located at 781 Grove Street in Worcester near the Holden line.
