With less than two weeks until the Annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Worcester, there is still a large amount of snow covering street corners and sidewalks at intersections on Park Avenue. The parade is to be held on Sunday, March 8 and begins on the corner of Mill Street and ends at Highland Street.
Park Ave is cleared of all snow, but the sidewalks that hold thousands of people to come watch the parade are not cleared.

Following a large storm at the end of January, GoLocal Worcester reported that the city would begin cracking down and start enforcing the city's sidewalk ordinance. At the time, City Manager Ed Augustus said, “I recognize how frustrating it is when you finish shoveling your sidewalk or driveway, only to have a plow come by and dump more snow where you just cleared...Public safety always comes first, and for the sake of our schoolchildren, seniors, disabled population and other residents who walk to get around, we need these sidewalks clear," Augustus said.
The sidewalk ordinance requires owners or occupants of property with sidewalks bordering on any street to remove snow and ice from sidewalks 10 hours after snow stops falling.
As of late Sunday afternoon, many places along Park Avenue had yet to be cleared in front of residences and businesses.
Here are images of some great spots that people can watch the St. Patrick's Day parade from that have yet to be cleared of snow:
