NEW:  Election Results for Auburn and Grafton

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Just as GoLocalWorcester brought you inside the races in Auburn's and Grafton's annual town election, GoLocalWorcester now brings you the local election results from Auburn and Grafton as they become available.

Auburn

In Auburn’s Selectmen’s race, which had incumbents Doreen Goodrich and Timothy Hicks challenged by Kenneth Hollstrom and Michael Robidoux, Goodrich and Hollstrom  were declared the winners, ousting Hicks and turning down Robidoux's bid for office.

Top voter getter Hollstrom said it was a "great, great win" for him.  "They all put up a good campaign and a good challenge.  I'm so excited to be doing this."

FIrst on his agenda, Hollstrom said, was to get to know the town manager, and "let her get to know me."

"I'm thrilled with the results," Goodrich said.  "It's been a long, difficult, negative campaign, but the people saw through it and said no to the negativitiy."

Grafton

In the Selectmen’s race, voters re-elected Brook Padgett, who defeated Bruce W. Spinney III.

For School Committee, Peter Carlson and Kathleen Halloran were both re-elected, outpacing Margaret Halloran.

Carlson said "I'm very humbled.  I want to thank my opponents for a well-thought out race.  I hope Maggie will continue to support the schools as she had in the past.  I'm very happy with the outcome."
