On Thursday night, the Worcester Bravehearts Baseball Team hosted their first 'Heart Stove' Reception with 350 guests in attendance at the Worcester Boys and Girls Club. As GoLocal reported in December, the panel discussion featured Hall of Fame Writer Peter Gammons, New York Mets executive J.P. Ricciardi, former Worcester Tornado and current Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Chris Colabello, and 2014 San Francisco Giants 1st round pick Tyler Beede of Auburn.

Worcester’s Sabrina Hatheway Missing For Nearly a Month

On Tuesday, GoLocal reported that the Worcester Police Department had released a statement that 17-year-old Alexandra Dymek had been missing since January 5. On Wednesday, Dymek was found and had returned, apparently safe and sound in her home. Although the WPD did not report anything beyond that Dymek was "FOUND," based on Facebook pages and posts from her friends and family members, it is safe to assume that she is home and alive.

So last week Worcester’s gang of ten protesters came down to the City Council meeting to voice their opposition to a resolution proposed by Councilor Konnie Lukes. In a nutshell, the resolution said that in light of all the protests all over the country, the Worcester Police stood tall as a beacon of professionalism. Councilor Lukes purposely timed this resolution on a night in which officer Justin Bennes was recognized for his heroic policing two months ago when he disarmed a known criminal without using deadly force. It made perfect sense.
