As we enter the New Year, 2014 it’s time to reflect and look at ways of helping our children succeed in school. Study after study has shown that parental involvement is the key to how well all children do in school. The time and energy spent with your children is a factor in how successful they will be in school. Children are our most precious resource and our future so let’s do all that we can to give them the necessary tools. Setting academic goals can help motivate, energize, and focus students. I know that it grates some people to think that the President has three more years to go before the doors finally close on the Obama era. Simple message—get used to it. It struck a good number of people with a very different political outlook that they had to endure four more years of “W” after what they felt were the mistakes and blunders of his first term. Of course the same message applied to them as well—get used to it. Bush beat Kerry fair and square, notwithstanding the whining vitriol of the political Left. And Obama beat Romney fair and square, notwithstanding the whining vitriol of the political Right.
