Jewelry by Elizabeth Sayles will be featured at Laura Jean Denim

Smart shoppers have their eyes peeled for fun opportunities to party a bit and pick up some exclusive finds. The trunk show is the ultimate destination, and we've got three to indulge in coming up.

"Bi-Coastal Inspired" Trunk Show at Laura Jean Denim

Friday, Nov 18, 12-6pm
With visions of hosting a fun, casual, laid-back yet stylish evening, Laura Flynn, owner of Bellevue Avenue’s Laura Jean Denim Shop, invites the public to a trunk show that features ‘left coast’ inspiration: jewelry from acclaimed designer Elizabeth Sayles and wine from Napa’s Trifecta boutique winery.

Elizabeth Sayles, California jewelry designer originally from Newport, designs one-of-a-kind jewelry creations which grace the décolletage of celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna, January Jones, Portia de Rossi, and Kelis to name a few. From Victorian necklaces to Edwardian bracelets, the one-of-a-kind heirloom jewelry designed by Elizabeth Sayles, under the aegis of her Los Angeles-based company Harlow, goes a long way toward proving that everything old is not just new again, but rather chic. Elizabeth Sayles is the official jeweler for Chelsea Lately, The Ellen Show, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Monk and House; her jewelry can be found at Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, along with small boutiques across the country.

As a special treat, Laura Jean will serve acclaimed wine from Napa Valley’s Trifecta Wines. Trifecta has been producing a distinctive, handmade, small batch Cabernet Sauvignon since 2001. This wine is considered their flagship boutique wine and is extremely limited in production.

Along with Elizabeth Sayles’ designs and Trifecta Wines, Laura Jean will feature an impressive selection of designer jeans, boots, and accessories. “We’ll have more accessories and ‘gifty’ items under fifty dollars for the holidays," said Flynn. "We’ll have scarves, jewelry, socks, and hanky pankies. Since it is boots season, we have loads of boots to choose from—especially Frye boots. I've been told by many customers I have the best selection in Rhode Island.”

There is no charge for the event. A portion of Laura Jean’s proceeds from the event will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Personalized jewelry for the grabbing, at MUSE

Saturday November 19th & Sunday November 20th, store hours
Warren's charming MUSE will host its first annual personalized jewelry event featuring six different jewelry designers, with total customization available.  Shoppers can choose their unique initial, birthstone and birth flower combinations and pick up their custom designs in time for the holidays.  Promotional giveaways and holiday treats will be served all weekend long! This is a great opportunity to start shopping local this holiday season.  MUSE recently expanded both their physical space and their inventory. They boast a highly curated yet affordable collection of American-made crafts – many of them eco- friendly – including jewelry, ceramics, greeting cards and baby items.

“I love art and I need it in my life,” says owner Elizabeth Kiepert. “I recognize the under- appreciation and the under-funding of the arts in America, which is why it’s important to me that everything we carry is American-made.”

Some notable artists at MUSE include jewelers Carla Caruso, frequently featured in magazines such as O, Lucky and In Style, LeeAnn Herreid whose custom rings were door- prizes at the MTV Music awards, Christina Goodman whose works have been featured in a number of publications including Washingtonian magazine and Architectural Digest and Kyler Designs whose sustainable eco-friendly jewelry has been spotted on the likes of Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria, and Anne Hathaway.

MUSE, 420 Main St, Warren, www.musehandcrafted.com.
