Jehyve Floyd poured in 25 points, but the
Holy Cross Crusaders felt Bucknell 93-78 on Monday night in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Holy Cross falls to 11-7 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot League.
Bucknell improves to 10-7 overland 4-1in the conference.
Holy Cross Falls to Bucknell
The Crusaders trailed 22-17 with 12 minutes left in the half before the Bison went on a 13-0 run to take a 35-17 lead.
Bucknell led by as much as 21 points, before Holy Cross trimmed it to 16, 51-35, at the half.
The Bison would push their lead to as much as 26 points early in the second half, and led 77-53 with 11 minutes left to play before Holy Cross made a run.
Holy Cross scored the next 13 points to cut Bucknell’s lead to 77-66, before getting as close as nine, 84-75, with 5:18 to play.
However, the Crusaders were unable to keep it going.
Holy Cross would score just three more points the rest of the way and fall to Bucknell.
Next Up
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, January 19 when they host Loyola.
Game time is set for 12 p.m.
