The new Revolution secondary kits

The Major League Soccer season is less than one week away and the New England Revolution are considered to be one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference following a run to the MLS Cup final in 2014. On Tuesday night, the Revs treated fans to a preseason treat by unveiling their new secondary kit at an event at the House Of Blues in Boston. The new Revolution kits are modeled after the Flag of New England, something that has become the unofficial symbol of the Revs. The red kits are a departure from the blue and white kits that have been the norm since the turn of the century.

The Revolution plan to wear the new kits in their season-opening game when they travel to Seattle for a matchup with the 2014 Supporters Shield-winning Sounders at 9 PM on Sunday. There are questions if the game will be played as planned due to problems surrounding the MLS collective bargaining agreement.
