Ty Law will be named the 22nd member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. The 5-time Pro Bowl cornerback was announced as the winner of a fan vote among 3 finalists to determine the 2014 inductee.

Law is the 4th player to be enshrined by fan vote, joining Troy Brown, Drew Bledsoe, and Tedy Bruschi as players named to the Hall of Fame since fans took over the final decision in 2011. 2014 was Law's first year of eligibility, and he beat out former head coach Bill Parcells and fellow cornerback Raymond Clayborn as finalists selected by media members, team officials, and Patriots alumni.

A first round pick out of Michigan in 1995, Law played 10 seasons in New England and was a part of 3 Super Bowl champions. He led the NFL in interceptions in 1998 and was a first team All-Pro in 1998 and 2003 with the Pats.

Despite his numerous regular season acolades, Law is best remembered for his clutch postseason heroics.

In the 2002 Super Bowl, Law scored the first touchdown of the game on an interception return off Kurt Warner, and he helped the Patriots slow down "The Greatest Show on Turf" in the 20-17 victory.

In the 2003 AFC Championship Game, Law shut down Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Marvin Harrsion and intercepted Peyton Manning 3 times in the Patriots' 24-14 win.

Law moved on from the Patriots in 2005 and had stints with the New York Jets (twice), Kansas City Chiefs, and Denver Broncos before retiring in 2010.

Law will be formally inducted on Auust 1st, and he'll be honored at halftime of the Patriots' Thursday Night Football game with the New York Jets on October 16th.
