In addition, John Caires of Hudson was fined $100 for working without a license.
The Division of Professional Licensure announced the disciplinary action along with 20 other individuals statewide who were disciplined.
License Revoked
Patient’s journeyman plumber’s license was revoked after he failed to respond to allegations that he failed to obtain a permit for plumbing work and also for failing to have the work inspected.
The work involved capping a radiator, removing a radiator and removing gas, water and vent lines.
Patient’s office line was no longer in service.
Two On Probation
Richard M. Sargent of Worcester and Kyle Silvio of Clinton are both on probation for one year for failure to comply with continuing education requirements for the period May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2010. Each was fined $100.
Sargent, a master plumber who also holds a journeyman’s license, must retake the masters’ license exam. Silvio must retake the journeyman’s license exam.
Both are required to submit documentation that they have completed the necessary continuing education.
Not Licensed
John Caires of Hudson was fined $100 for performing plumbing work without a license. Caires allegedly had disconnected the water line for a humidifier.
Raymond Beaudry, office manager for the Union Pipefitters Local 4, said licensing is essential to ensuring safe water.
“It takes very little time to make a mistake that would affect an entire town or city,” Beaudry said. “That’s why the licensing board is so strict.”
