Dojo

Dojo is a 2 year old chihuahua mix who weighs 13 pounds. He still has puppy energy and would do well with an energetic family. He played fetch with us for almost 30 minutes the other day! But once he settles in he's also happy to sleep at your feet. Dojo likes to follow his person everywhere.

Dojo loves other dogs-- he loves to play but is also respectful of senior dogs' space when they tell him they're not interested. He is food, toy, and people motivated. He is housebroken and settles nicely in his crate after a bit of whining and some barks. He still needs to polish his leash walking and approaching new people, but with a bit of positive reinforcement he should really blossom.

Precious Penny

Aptly named, Precious Penny is sweet and could fit in your pocket! If you've looked longingly at the meme of dogs in bags riding the NY subway, Precious Penny is your gal. She loves people so much her whole body wags, and she would fit in your large tote as she's only 35 pounds.

Though 7 years old, Penny still has the energy of a young dog. Long walks where she can sniff to her delight, and strolls along your quaint thoroughfare where she can look in every storefront window are equally wonderful to Penny.

Sadie

My name is Sadie and I am about 5 years old. I’m a 55 lb pittie mix (I think!) and really want to be your new best friend. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, including heart worm and flea/tick and I’m already spayed.

I love to play and I have so much energy and really want to be on the trails, out running, or going on adventures! The couch might be my new favorite place when I'm in the house though! I’m okay with the other dogs that live in my foster home.

Rufus

Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.

At just 3 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be.

Tobey

These giant ears belong to Tobey! Tobey is a 3 year old male chihuahua who is ready for his forever home! Tobey is about 20lbs, which is much too large for his little frame! His new owners will need to get him on a diet and exercise program quickly. This shouldn't be hard as Tobey LOVES being outside running around, hanging out with other dogs, and just being active in general.

Peanut

Peanut is an 18 month old cutie with the shiniest black coat. She came to her foster home in March 2019 and has made a lot of progress in trusting humans, It took her a little longer because she had four adorable kittens while in foster and only started to be socialized once they were all adopted (in July). She is interested in what her foster humans are up to (following them around and spying on them), and is a gentle lady, but she can't quite yet let them pet her (she will undoubtedly get there though).

Miley

YOWZA MEOW-ZA!!! "Brown tabby girl" doesn't begin to do this looker justice. The camera couldn't stop clicking and there isn't a bad photo in the bunch...

Miley is a 4 year old tabby whose owner passed away. This poor girl was living on her own with someone stopping by to check in on her so who can blame her for being a bit wary and unsure about whether she wants to be petted or left alone. Losing your purrson can do that to you, but we believe that given some time to get her self-confidence back, the inner Miley (who's as beautiful as the exterior Miley), will emerge.

Sammy

Sammy is a handsome, loving, BIG boy who currently weighs in at 23 pounds. That's a LOT of Sammy to love! Sammy is on a mostly-wet-food diet to help him start to lose weight, which his adopters will need to continue helping him with so he can be healthy and happy long into the future.

Rockwell

Rockwell is a charming 2 year old marbled tabby who loves to snuggle just as much as he loves to play. He enjoys having conversations with his humans and being fed on time for each meal. In foster, Rockwell has been observed to be a very good boy that does not jump onto counters or help himself into cabinets.
