Fit for Life: Stop Suffering Alone

Saturday, October 26, 2019

Matt Espeut

I have been writing for GoLocal for over 5 years now, and I do it so I can develop some credibility amongst readers, and hopefully help someone, or I should say many people, make positive changes within their lives. I keep trying to learn new things, so I can deliver what I learn to anyone I come in contact with.

I coach a great team of people at Providence Fit Body Boot Camp, I coach an inner-city football team, I have several hundreds of members at my place that need guidance with their health and fitness, and I have an audience of readers that give me feedback on my articles every week. I am also part of a couple of professional mastermind groups that feed off each other’s knowledge in order to help each other grow.

As far as getting fit, and the process that we need to go through to get there, I have that nailed down. I know exactly what to eat, how much to exercise, what exercises will preserve and build muscle, and the best way to burn fat.

I deliver this content to my members all the time, however not everyone follows my advice, therefore not everyone gets the best results possible from our programs. Yes, you will get better and feel great every time you eat something healthy, and exercise, however, if you are not consistent it won’t work over the long haul.

Besides a great workout and nutrition program, I have learned that we need to go a little deeper and peel back some layers in order to get a program to work. Just showing up and going through the motions will only get you so far because you need to first develop a positive mindset.

Knowing that being fit and healthy is an attainable goal for everyone that puts in the effort and is willing to do the work, is the first step in flipping the mindset into an “I can do this” mode. Not until you inject some positive self-talk, will you be ready to take on this challenge.

There are several ways to keep you focused and dialed in, and the best way that I have seen, is to become part of a community of like-minded people all striving for the same goal. When you see success happen in front of you, you tend to emulate good habits, and want success even more than if you were going it alone.

Team development is a big part of my process in developing a successful business. Team reads, conferences, weekly meetings, and this weekend we will be hosting a Navy Seal for a full day team building and leadership workshop. In order to keep the team focused and on fire it is essential to create the community/family aspect in the workplace so we can all feel part of something. Watching others develop and grow will incentivize others to do the same.

Being part of a community, will also allow you to see how others have struggled just like you, making you realize that your problems aren’t unique, and you are not alone on this journey.

There are several ways to become part of a great community of people that are interested in better health and fitness. One is to join Providence Fit Body Boot Camp and become part of our community. Another way is for you to bring your community to us.

For the next several months, I will be focusing on promoting workplace wellness as well as individual programs for people that show interest in bettering themselves on all levels.

Fitness isn’t just about weights and calories, it’s about programing people’s minds so they can see the long-term benefits, as well as the consequences of living a healthy lifestyle.

As I said earlier, this can be so much more effective when you are part of a group as opposed to working alone. Although EVERYONE that walks into my facility gets welcomed and made feel at home, bringing a network of people you work with and see several hours daily will enhance the likelihood you will be more accountable to the program.

Not only that, there are numerous studies that state a healthy workplace has numerous benefits, and that more and more employers are promoting it amongst their employees.

Here’s a clip that I read from a corporate wellness letter I received:

Seventy-eight percent of employers will be investing more or the same in gym reimbursement programs.

Similar to healthy food in the office, this is an attractive benefit, especially for employees who place higher consideration on total rewards programs and benefits.

Other factors contributing to growth in these programs are a highly competitive job market and traditional gyms looking to expand their reach as emerging fitness models (boutique studios, on-demand classes, and subscription services) erode their membership base.

Similar to free healthy food, medium employers are leading the way in investing more into gym reimbursements, which is likely a result of large employers already adopting these perks and small employers having more constrained budgets.

Some other benefits that you experience by being part of a workplace wellness program are:

More fun to go to work and having something positive to talk to coworkers about.

Friendly competition by joining our 21 Day Rapid fat loss program

More team spirit, and friendlier environment

More support, and constant daily accountability.

If you work in a place that employs more than 5 people, and you want to be the hero of your workplace, respond to this article and we can schedule a short presentation.

I will come to your workplace with lunch and explain all the benefits of a healthy work environment.

We can get you started with a 21-day program at Providence Fit Body Boot Camp and offer you a group rate to participate, and get your staff started on their health and fitness journey.

Stop suffering in silence and stop treading on the path to an unhealthy future. Respond to this email today and let us help you and your colleagues develop the healthy habits that will last you a lifetime.

Committed to your success,
