Rhode Island Comic Con  2016 is under way at the Rhode Island Convention and Dunkin’ Donuts Centers in Providence and already thousands of fans have made their way inside. More than 50,000 will attend and more than 10,000 travel from Central Massachusetts to attend.

The highlight of this year’s Comic Con is the appearance of comic book legend Stan lee, the creator of Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man and many other super heroes in the Marvel Comics Universe. 

In RI Comic Con's five years Lee is the biggest celebrity to ever come. 

Other big name celebrity guests include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, and wrestling legend Ric Flair, among others. 

Didn’t make it on Friday? Comic Con is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. 

New Cool Features to Comic Con 

Along with a number of top of the line celebrities, Rhode Island Comic Con 2016 has added a number of new features. 

One of the new features is the Ink Fusion Tattoo Pavilion where participants will have a chance to win a free tattoo designed by Stan Lee. 

On Sunday, Bruneau & Co Auctioneers will host a live auction featuring toys, comics, trading cards and more from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Two other features include a Wonder Woman museum, which will include films and memorabilia, as well as a simulation of the game show Hellevator that airs on the Game Show Network.
