Author McCullough to Give Lecture at Old Sturbridge Village

David McCullough

Author David McCullough will speak at Old Sturbridge Village as part of the Joan McGrath Memorial Dinner & Lecture.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m

McCullough will be presenting on his latest book The Pioneers which shows the settling of the Northwest Territory by Pioneers who overcame hardship to build a community based on ideals that would come to define the country - and the village depicted at Old Sturbridge Village.

About McCullough

McCullough is a known name in the history world, renowned for his best-selling historical works such as Truman, 1776, John Adams, The Wright Brothers, and his recently published book, The Pioneers. He has been called "one of America's greatest living writers," by the Washington Post.

Winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor and two-time recipient of both the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award, he stands as one of the biggest names and most prestigious speakers ever to come to Old Sturbridge Village.
